There are four layers, and each one is a switch. Hidden characters are always handled. Typography covers dashes, curly quotes and the ellipsis character. Markdown covers stars, hashes and bullets. Tidy spacing fixes double spaces.
Cleaning does not rewrite anything. The wording is yours to edit, and it will still read like what the assistant wrote. If a detector flags it, character cleaning will not change that result, because detectors score the writing, not the Unicode.

How do I cancel?
