Plaincopy walks the text line by line. Headings lose their hashes, block quotes lose their arrow, bullet markers (a dash, star or plus at the start of a line) are dropped, horizontal rules are removed and code fences disappear.
Inside a line it removes ** and __ around bold text, * and _ around italics, ~~ around strikethrough and backticks around code. A snake_case_word or a sum like 2*3*4 is left alone. Images become their alt text and links become text followed by the address.
It does not convert tables or nested lists into anything fancy. If you need markdown turned into HTML or Word headings, use a converter instead. This is for getting plain words out.

How do I cancel?
Use the Stripe billing page (link under Pricing, "Manage or cancel") and sign in with the email you paid with. Cancelling stops the next charge and Pro ends at the end of the period you paid for.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Pasted text and files are cleaned inside your browser. Our server only checks that a payment is active.
